FOUNDATION KICK-OFF SKILL ACQUISITION PROGRAMME

The Nnenna Ugwu Foundation proudly commenced its 2025 Skill Acquisition Training Program on August 1, 2025, marking a significant step in its mission to empower individuals through vocational education. This year’s program focuses on equipping participants with practical and marketable skills in three key areas: garment sewing, gele tying, and professional makeup artistry. These courses are designed to foster creativity, technical proficiency, and entrepreneurial potential, enabling participants to pursue sustainable livelihoods.

The initiative attracted considerable interest, with over 150 applications received during the initial registration phase. Following a rigorous selection process, the foundation carefully shortlisted 25 participants to ensure a focused and impactful training experience. This selective approach allows for personalized instruction and hands-on guidance, maximizing the learning outcomes for each participant.

The training program is scheduled to run from August to December 2025, spanning five months of intensive skill development. Throughout this period, participants will engage in practical workshops, mentorship sessions, and assessments to hone their craft and prepare for professional opportunities in their respective fields. The Nnenna Ugwu Foundation remains committed to transforming lives through education and empowerment, and this program underscores its dedication to fostering economic independence and community development.
